Normal People: Oh? Congratulations to the Indian army and us! But why did it come to this?

Bhakt: Stupid anti-national, due to that horrific terrorist attack in Kashmir. Enough is enough!

Normal people: What about them? 

Bhakt: We are workng on it. 

Normal people: Working on their whereabouts?

Educated Bhakt ( after making a few official trips to South Asian countries): You people have not seen the world; the other countries are much more unsafe and dangerous to travel in compared to India. India is heaven for travellers. Don't criticize our country without knowing about the world:

Me: What do you know about  Communism? 

EB: China, West Bengal, Jyoti Basu, anti-development! ha ha ha .....

Me: Have you read the Communist Manifesto? 

EB: No

Me: What is your opinion on the difference in perspectives between Lenin's State and Revolution with Marx's A Critique of Political Economy? 

EB: No idea! 

Me: Have you read Animal Farm by George Orwell, the British writer who used to live far from China and West Bengal? 

EB: No, no idea! 

Me: What about the 20th century women writers like Marian Ramelson from England, Natalia Ginzburg from Itali from Italy or Oodgeroo Noonuccal from Australia? 

EB: I don't know

Me: Why do you think an ideology that fights against feudal agricultural economies and unregulated capitalism and thanks to the propaganda by the West, it also become a fear, an obsession for the majority of the world? 

EB: I don't know. But I hate Communism!

ME: How can you hate or love something that you have zero knowledge? Like, I don't have any opinion about Neurology and neuroscience and how they are different!

EB: Arey, I know, my uncle was Naxal, he went to jail also in Kolkata...ha ha ha!

Women's Day:The Hypocrisy of Patriarchal Society

So, there is this friend of mine, well-educated and well-placed from a socio-economic perspective in today's world, even "let" his wife work as a school teacher. On the occasion of Women’s Day, he proudly gifted her a jewelry set, seemingly evidence of his support for her autonomy.  However, over the dinner, this same man erupted in fury when the subject of her wanting to embark on a solo trip.  This incident is a microcosm of the pervasive hypocrisy that underpins many modern relationships, illuminating the troubling dual force of ostensible progress and buried patriarchal attitudes.
