Herd Life
“I must get my soul back from you; I am killing my flesh without it.”
― Sylvia Plath
We the people have stopped accepting our own s**ts, but..... instead started living under the influence of a utopian ' feel-good' parallel universe supplied by a failed state mechanism. Be it jingoism, Pakistan, China, Kashmir or regular scientific expeditions turned to look like a masala movie melodrama. Life indeed has become an Akshay Kumar movie but the difference is at the cost of tax money, the integrity of the nation, and the life of innocent citizens and soldiers. I am not surprised to see the quality and brainy movies being dumped by the audience while even good directors are forced to make garbage and trashes like RRR, Ram Setu, Kashmir Files, Brahmāstra, etc., but I don't understand how a group of illiterates in the so-called IT cell dictates and succeed in this boycott trend??? Who is anyone to tell me what to watch what to wear what to eat and what to speak? We become human beings when we ask questions to the system, norms, and ourselves. The ability to be different from each other makes us 'individual'. History tells us the lack of knowledge, proper education, fear to be rejected by the majority and fascism lead to herd mentality and that is no different from Medieval Europe's slave menace.
The real jokers are NRI and Expats leaving far away, armed with information about India from the likes of Zee news & Republic TV, etc., cheering a failed nation in the name of nationalism popcorn in hand.
